Introduction to Reading Hebrew

Now that you have learned the Hebrew Alphabet, the next step is to systematically follow through this series of lessons on Hebrew Reading Practice. From knowing the Hebrew Alphabet, the aim of this group of lessons is to get you to the stage where you can read Hebrew reasonably confidently, at a fairly normal speed, and you can read words and even verses without too much difficulty. That will take time, but this group of lessons is here to help you!

This lesson serves as an introduction. It tells you how we are going to proceed, and what to expect.

We explain that you need to proceed in a series of small steps, lesson by lesson, building up to longer and longer words, until you can read comfortably, building on the solid foundation that you have had so far.
