Highlighting Words You Already Know

Now that you have learned a lot of Hebrew vocabulary from a chapter or passage of Scripture that is important to you, you are ready to move on to the next chapter and learn all the vocabulary from that chapter!

Before doing that, however, a useful exercise is to see just how much vocabulary from the previous chapter you already know. In this video, as a demonstration exercise, we find all the vocabulary that occur in Genesis 1, then see how many of those words occur in Genesis 2. You will find that you already know a lot of words!

This illustrates the snowballing effect - how learning vocabulary chapter by chapter becomes easier and easier, the more vocabulary you know, and as your confidence grows. You are now seeing your vocabulary learning skills really pay off!
